Mercredi 24 Juin :

• A partir de 21h00, nous irons à l’appartement ( 32 rue du fer à moulin 75005 - code 57b32 – 3 ème étage ) pour une petite soirée Tapas.

Vendredi 26 juin :

• Le rendez-vous devant la mairie du V arrondissement est à 15h30 ( et devant le maire à16h00). Il est possible de se garer au parking de la rue Soufflot. Suite à la cérémonie, une photo de groupe sera prise devant le panthéon. Donc essayer de ne pas vous disperser si vous souhaitez figurer sur la photo.

• Vous disposerez ensuite d’une petite heure de quartier libre dans le quartier.  The official « after Town Hall » Party sera  le pub Le Bombardier ( 2, place du Panthéon 75005 Paris ).

• Deux bus viendront devant la mairie du V ème à 18h00 précises. Deux « bus captain » Maria Paula et Cyrille seront en charge des opérations.

L’arrivée au plateau de Gravelles est prévue entre 18h45 et 19h00.
Le cocktail : 19h00 -20h45
Le repas : 21h00-23h00
Fiesta avec open bar jusqu'à 04h00

• A 04h00 les bus reviendront chercher les gens et assureront le trajet retour jusqu’au quartrier des Gobelins.

Samedi 27 juin :

• Si le temps le permet, rendez-vous à 17h00 champs de Mars pour un pique nique. Attention, ce déjeuner sur l’herbe aux pieds de la tour Eiffel est organisé sur un mode participatif. Chacun vient avec quelques choses à manger et boire….et à partager.

• Vers 19h-20h00 nous prendrons la direction de la seine pour une promenade d’une heure en bateau ( prévoir un budget de 3,5 euros).

A couple days before the wedding and the day after the wedding we will be organizing some little activities for our wedding guests. Noone is obliged to come of course!  It's just for those who feel a little lost in the big city or who just simply want to hang out!  Can't wait to see you all.  The count down is on!!!

Wednesday evening, we will first be meeting friends and family at a bar down the street and then we will all go together to our place to continue with some tapas.

Friday, June 26th: The Big Day

Ceremony

Meeting time: 3:30pm(15H30)   (ceremony begins at 4pm (16h)   
The ceremony should last about 20 minutes at the most so don't be late!

After ceremony
Group Picture: After the ceremony, if it is not raining, we will take a group picture on the stairs of the Pantheon.

Bus transfer:  The bus will pick you up in front of the Town hall at 6pm (18h) and bring you to the reception place, Plateau de Gravelle.
There will be some free time between the picture shoot and the bus transfer.  Therefore, you can take a stroll in the Luxembourg gardens or meet all the other wedding guests for a drink at  "The Bombardier" Pub. (To the left of the Pantheon and behind.)

The cocktail will begin at 7pm (19h)
The cocktail will be followed by diner then dancing with open bar.

Return: At 4am the bus will leave the Plateau de Gravelle  and will bring everyone back to the 5th arrondissement in the Gobelins neighborhood.  From there, most will be able to walk back to their hotels.  The others can take the a taxi back to the hotel.

Saturday, June 27th:
If the weather is nice we will have a picnic at the Champs de Mars, the park at the foot of the Eiffel tower, followed by a boat ride on the Seine.
We will have a list available on the 26th so that people can see what other are bringing and can write down what they will bring. (bread, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and veggies wine, non-alcoholic beverages etc.)
Picnic begins at 5pm. (17h)
Boat ride departure: Around  7-8pm (19-20h) -Cruise on the seine lasts about 1hr.  Cost: around 4€.

Plan B if it rains or is too cold to picnic on Saturday:  Tapas at our place.(32 rue du fer à Moulin. 75005)  and boat ride later if it's not too bad out.

Taking the train from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris

For those of you who are staying in the 5th arrondissement near the metro stops « Les Gobelins»  or « Censier Daubenton », please find below some helpful directions on how to get from the airport to this neighborhood.

1. Go to the RER station at the airport.
2. Buy a ticket for Paris.  (about 8€)
While you are at it, you can already buy the metro tickets for Paris. These tickets are are also valid for the Parisian buses. 
If you are staying for a week, I suggest you get the weekly pass, around 15€.  This pass lets you travel in the metro and buses unlimitedly. 
There should also be 3 day passes available. You should see all theses options at the time of purchase.

3. With the RER ticket, take the « RER B », direction Paris.
4. Get off at the stop « Port Royal » (about 30 minutes from the airport, depending on whether you have a direct train or not)
5. When you arrive at « Port Royal », go out of the metro station and up to the street level.
6. Across the street you will see the bus stop for bus n° 91.  You want to take this bus in the direction of « Bastille ». 
Note :To make sure you’re  taking it in the right direction, it’s the bus that goes a little downhill.
7. Get off  at « Les Gobelins ».
8. Now, you can take out your little map that you printed out nicely, to help you find your hotel !

Hôtel du Bresil
For those staying at the Bresil Hotel, get off of at the RER stop « Luxembourg ». 

Marriot-Rive Gauche
For those staying at Marriot- Rive Gauche, get off at the RER stop « Denfert Rocheraut ».  You can then walk 5-10min. Or take the metro for one stop, line 6 direction « Nation » to metro stop « Saint Jacques ».

For the rest of you, you can follow the directions 1 through 3.  If you have any specific questions on how to get to your hotel, don’t hestitate to contact me.

There is also a shuttle service. I have never used it but some of our guest have reserved with them http://www.shuttle-paris.com/

And finally you can, of course, take a taxi!

We just wanted to let you know that the Saturday after the wedding (June 27th), we will be organizing a linner or dunch (late lunch-early dinner)  at around 5pm -official time to be confirmed.

If the weather is nice to us we will have a picnic at the Champs de Mars, the parc at the foot of the Eiffel tower. 

It will be organized as a sort of "pot luck".  For those not familiar with this term  ( yes, we are very   international :-) ) it means everyone contributes something to the feast!  We'd need people to bring along the basics: bread, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and veggies (for the conscious) wine, non-alcoholic beverages or anything else that tickles your fancy!

After the picnic we will take a boat ride along the Seine....yes...very "romantique".

So please let us know who will be joining us because I want to buy the tickets in advance. Price of tickets in advance: 3.50€.  Price of ticket on site: 11€.

And if it rains, we will come up with a plan B!

A la suite de la cérémonie, un bus assurera le transfert des passagers non-véhiculés.

Le bus assurera également un trajet retour à 4h du matin du Plateau de Gravelle au Gobelins 75005.

Le bus étant d'une capacité maximale de 60 personnes, merci de nous dire si vous venez en voiture et si vous avez de la place pour assurer un covoiturage de la mairie au Plateau de gravelle.

After the ceremony, there will be a bus transfer from the ceremony to the reception for those who have not organized any means of transportation.  As the bus capacity is 60 people. We will also organize a car pool.

This bus will also bring people back from Plateau de Gravelle to Paris- Gobelins 75005 at 4am. 

For those of you who think that you would like to leave earlier, we can organize a taxi transfer to your hotel.  If you already know that you would like to leave at a certain time, please let us know so that we can reserve the taxis in advance. If not, we can always reserve them the night of.
